NCFE Level 2 Certificate for Overseas Resort Representative
Within the travel and tourism industry, the Resort Representative has an important role in representing the tour operator and ensuring the success of a client’s holiday. The Resort Representative is the first point of contact for holidaymakers at their destination. This course provides the skills, knowledge and understanding required to carry out this role.
This course will not only give you the opportunity to get an insight into the world of working overseas, but will also upon successful completion guarantee you an interview for a position with one of the UK’s largest Tour Operators, who are also one of the largest recruiters of overseas staff in the UK. The main objectives of this qualification are for students to develop the knowledge and understanding to enable them to:
- Understand the travel industry and the role of the resort representative
- Fulfil the Resort Representative’s role at the airport
- Fulfil the Resort Representative’s role at the hotel
- Fulfil the Resort Representative’s role on coach transfers
- Promote effective customer care
- Review the effectiveness of reporting
The Qualification:
The Level 2 Certificate for Overseas Resort Representative is accredited by NCFE and endorsed by Thomas Cook Tour Operations.
Course Start Dates:
Due to the fact that recruitment procedures for overseas staff takes place between November and February, it is imperative that completion of the course is made within good time for this recruitment period.
This Course is operated in LONDON, once a year in September, with 1 mode of study:
Saturday Class: 15 week course taking place on Saturdays from 09.30 – 15.30
Course Entry Minimum Age: 17
Tour Operator Entry Requirements:
Tour Operators generally require the following specifications in prospective employees:
- A minimum age of 18
- Be 100% flexible about where they go
- The right to live and work in the EU
- Have customer service or sales experience
- Possess a GCSE or above level of education
