NCFE Level 2 Award in Understanding Stewarding at Spectator Events

Event Stewards are the life blood of any event and as such play a vital role in ensuring the Health and Safety of clients, their customers, and also their staff. You will also in most cases be the first person that members of the public or guests will see, this means that you represent not only the company you work for but also their clients. in addition you will also be the eyes and ears of the team reporting any potential problems to the security team and other agencies for further investigation. With this in mind this course has been designed to provide students with the knowledge required to work effectively as an event steward and provide you with the tools needed to deliver the highest level of standard and service to satisfy even the most difficult customer.

This course will not only give you the opportunity to investigate the various areas of event stewarding but may also upon successful completion guarantee you an interview with one of our affiliates. The main aims of the qualification are:
  • How stewards prepare for spectator events
  • How stewards control the entry, exit and movement of spectators at events
  • How stewards monitor crowds and respond to potential crowd problems at spectator events
  • How to respond to injuries, illnesses and other emergencies in active leisure and learning
The Qualification:
The Level 2 Award in Understanding Stewarding at Spectator Events is accredited by NCFE and approved as a technical certificate.

Course Start Dates:
This Course is operated in LONDON, 3 times a year, February, June & October, with 1 mode of study:
Saturday Class: 8 week course taking place on saturdays from 09.30 – 15.30

Course Entry Minimum Age: 17

Event Company Entry Requirements:
Event Companies generally require the following specifications in prospective employees for Event Management:
  • A minimum age of 18
  • Be 100% flexible

Target Group:
Those wishing to find employment as an event steward. It is also suitable for anyone already working in the industry on a voluntary, part time or casual basis who wishes to formalise and further develop his or her experience and skills. It is also suitable for those who wish to enhance their studies in business, leisure, travel and tourism.
