Management of Disruptive Customers & Restraint

This course has been specifically developed as an add-on to our Front Line Courses. In recent years Disruptive Customer Incidents have increased for a number of reasons and it is vital that front line staff can deal with these incidents and bring them to a positive outcome so that the safety of others are not jeopardised.

This full day course will give you the skills in order to deal with such incidents. Although the course was originally designed for those seeking a career as a member of cabin crew, it is also targeted at those that have to deal with disruptive members of the public within the Customer Services Industry.

Criteria covered includes:

  • Legislation regarding disruptive passengers
  • Disruptive incidents at work and understanding yourself
  • How to deal with stress and fear within the work place
  • Behaviour
  • Communication skills
  • De-escalation skills
  • Use of Force and the law
  • Practical body holds used for restraining
  • How to avoid positional asphyxia

This course is delivered by a qualified trainer in conflict management with a mix of training delivery through lecture, group discussion and practical work ensuring that you get the most of the programme. Combined with certification on successful completion, you will definitely be on the right track to getting yourself noticed and securing your ideal job in the front line Industry. (It is recommended that candidates wear casual clothes including flat shoes with no jewellery due to the practical nature of this course.)

Saturday Class: 1 day course 09.30 - 15.30
Monday Class: 1 day course 10.00 - 16.00

These courses are operated in MANCHESTER & CARDIFF 3 times a year, January, May & September.
Sunday Class: 1 day course 09.30 - 15.30
