NCFE Level 2 Certificate for Airline Cabin Crew
Within the travel and tourism industry, cabin crew still plays an extremely important role within the airline sector and great emphasis is still placed upon finding the prefect candidates for this demanding and extremely rewarding job. With this in mind the course has been designed to provide students with the underpinning knowledge required to work effectively as a member of airline cabin crew and provide the tools needed to deliver the highest level of standard and service to satisfy even the most difficult passenger.
This course will not only give you the opportunity to investigate the various areas of cabin crew, but upon successful completion will guarantee you interviews for a position with Thomas Cook, Monarch and BMI.
The course includes:
- One practical training day at Gatwick using TUI’s Mock Aircraft
- ‘A day in the life as a cabin crew member’ training day at Gatwick with Monarch Airlines
- Trainers who are also current Cabin Crew with Thomas Cook and Monarch
The main aim of this qualification is for students to investigate the various areas of cabin crew:
- Understanding the airline industry and the role of airline cabin crew
- Promote effective customer care in the airline industry
- Maintain effective team working and communication in the airline industry
- Contribute to the Health & Safety of airline passengers
- Contribute to aviation security
- Demonstrate an understanding of the airport arrival process
The Qualification:
The Level 2 Certificate for Cabin Crew is accredited by NCFE and endorsed by Thomas Cook, Monarch and BMI.
Course Start Dates:
This Course is operated in LONDON, 3 times a year, February, June & October, with 3 modes of study:
Saturday Class: 15 week course taking place on Saturdays from 09.30 – 15.30
Monday Class: 15 week course taking place on Mondays from 10.00 – 16.00
Intensive Class: 3 week course taking place every day Monday-Friday from 10.00 -16.00
This Course is operated in CARDIFF, 3 times a year, February, June & October, with 1 mode of study:
Saturday Class: 15 week course taking place on Saturdays from 10.00 – 16.00
This Course is operated in MANCHESTER, 3 times a year, February, June & October, with 1 mode of study:
Saturday Class: 15 week course taking place on Saturdays from 10.00 – 16.00

Course Entry Minimum Age: 17
Airline Entry Requirements:
Airlines generally require the following specifications in prospective employees:
- A minimum age of 18
- The right to live and work in the EU
- An excellent standard of health which may be subject to medical examination by the airline
- Height between 5’2 – 6’2 with weight in proportion
- An ability to swim at least 25 metres
- Possess a GCSE or above level of qualification

It is very common for airlines to now have staff trainined as cabin and ground crew, in light of this change in the industry NCFE have introduced a mapping system between the Cabin Crew Course and the Airport Passenger Service Agents course. What this means to you, is once you have completed the Cabin Crew Course you can fastrak through the Airport Passenger Service course in 8 weeks instead of 12! We are offering this combination course at £890 (saving £150). On successful completion you will be guaranteed interviews with Thomas Cook, Monarch and BMI and you also be well on the way to be dual trained which will really get you noticed !!!
